The Building Construction Department records subgroup consists of six series: the Construction Department (Ford Motor Company) General records series, 1924-1930 (15.2 cubic ft.) Acc. 1036; the Field Survey Notebooks records series, 1915-1948 (55 card files), Acc. 1120; the Rawsonville Power Plant Construction records series, 1930-1939 (0.4 cubic ft. and 3 oversize boxes), Acc. 1588; the Hamilton & Rossville Hydraulic Company Construction records series, 1919-1921 (0.8 cubic ft.), Acc. 207, 219, which includes payment and receipt vouchers for construction work done on the Hamilton plant after Ford Motor Company purchased the company in 1919. The Kansas City Branch Construction records series, 1913-1945 (8 cubic ft.), Acc. 761, consists of contracts, agreements, schedules, progress reports, and correspondence regarding initial construction and periodic building upgrades on the Kansas City, Missouri assembly plant. The series includes subcontractor agreements, specifications, and schedules by Albert Kahn Inc., the plant's architect. The Rouge Rubber Plant Construction records series, 1937 (1 oversize box), Acc. 1398, contains architectural design drawings from Albert Kahn Inc., interior and exterior elevation drawings, floor plans and machine layouts, and construction details for the Rubber Plant at the Rouge River Plant built in 1937-1938.
